Weight Loss Support Group Summary - May 2023

We had an excellent support group meeting on May 29th. We coined it nutrient night, with a presentation by our nutritionist and attendance by BN Healthy, the bariatric nutrients specialists, we were very grateful for the gift bags given to each attendee (see below).
Here is Dr Michele Van Vuuren's report of a very successful meeting:
The May Support Group was very well attended on Monday night with a mixture of new and current patients.
There were several long-term patients including people who had surgery more than 12 years ago.
The guest speaker was Ms Michelle Graham the practice Dietitian.
Michelle's expertise was appreciated very much as she answered many nutritional and dietetic questions.
BN Healthy provided gift bags to every attendee. Patients loved the gift bags which included water bottles and other samples.
The main takeaway message from the support group evening was:
- The holistic team approach is highly valuable. It is essential to attend follow up appointments with all our team members for best health outcomes and results.
- Take your vitamins as prescribed by your Dietitian.
- Check with Dr Lockie or team if you are unsure or have questions about your progress.
